All funds raised are used for research purposes – the Association is currently funding five research projects from voluntary contributions.
Coldwood N.S. won the Cathy Sutton memorial cup for the second successive year Josephine Sutton presented the cup to Geraldine Sutton, who accepted the cup on behalf of the school. The organisers acknowledged and much appreciate the efforts of their supporters; sponsors; Gardaí, the Civil Defence and the many helpers who contributed in so many different ways to the success of the day.
A special thank you to the following schools who supported the cycle: Athenry Boys N.S., Ballymana N.S., Coldwood N.S., Craughwell N.S. and Killeeneen N.S. Geraldine Sutton had the highest individual sponsorship. The main sponsors were Cawley’s Pub, Christy Moran and Cyril Jennings.
