Launch of Area Branch of the Red Cross

The Galway Area of the Irish Red Cross is launching a new Red Cross branch in the Athenry Area.

The new unit will open in early March in the Presentation College, Athenry, with the kind help of the Board of Management and Mrs. Forde (Principal).

All age groups are welcome. We will start with a First Aid unit which will carry out training and, once trained, the local people will undertake First Aid and Ambulance cover at various events in the local areas.

We will be looking for people to serve on a committee as well as people to enrol as future First-Aiders.
