The club was formed in early summer 1995. It was started by forming a committee comprising of local lads and their friends from the neighbouring parishes. Sponsorship was given at first by Michael Lafferty of Lafferty’s Pub, Cahertymore. The field was given by Willie Gill for a soccer pitch, and another field for training was given by Tommy Williams. We then entered a league. We are now up and running and hope to improve as time goes by. We also owe our gratitude to Sean Rabbitte, Statoil, who sponsored kit bags.

The aim of the committee is to form the biggest club in Galway.

The Committee members are:

President: Michael Lafferty
Chairman: Allen Hynes
Secretary: John Williams
Treasurer: Francis Coffey
Manager: Michael Gill
